PANAMA CITY — A 3-year-old was left with severe facial lacerations Wednesday after a vehicle careened through a fence and into a brick building, according to a Panama City Police Department news release.
An adult female and an infant, also in the car during the crash, were not injured, PCPD said.
Michael Joseph Paprocki, of Lynn Haven, was driving east on 15th Street Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. before the crash. In the 800 block, Paprocki allegedly attempted to pass a slower-moving truck but cut the truck off, striking its front with the rear of his car, sending him and his young passengers through a vinyl fence, hitting a parked vehicle and coming to rest against a brick building owned by the Panama City Public Housing Authority, officers reported.

The 3-year-old female passenger sustained severe lacerations to the face caused by the shards of fencing entering the car upon impact, PCPD said.
Officers on scene provided first aid to the child until EMS arrived and transported her to the Bay Medical Center Sacred Heart emergency room. They later learned that the 3-year-old’s injuries were non-life-threatening.
Paprocki also was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Charges and citations are pending further investigation, PCPD said.
Neither the adult female nor the infant were injured, officers added.
