PANAMA CITY BEACH -- Authorities are searching for a man who held up the Sugar Sands Hotel at 20723 Front Beach Road at about 6:50 p.m. Friday.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office said a white male, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches, wearing black clothes, a brown wig and a fake moustache approached the clerk armed with a black semiautomatic handgun and demanded money from the register, BCSO said. The male fled on foot eastbound along Front Beach Road.
Investigators believe that the same suspect is responsible for the armed robbery at the Hampton Inn on Back Beach Road last week.
Anyone with information on this suspect is asked to call the Bay County Sheriffs Office at 747-4700.
