The Bay County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of an armed robbery in Callaway early this morning, officials wrote in a news release.
At about 2 a.m. Monday, a black male with dreadlocks, medium build, wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask, entered the Beeline Convenience Store on Cherry Street in Callaway. He carried a handgun and demanded money from the clerk and several customers in the store at the time, the news release states. The suspect also took cigarettes and rolling papers before fleeing on foot.
The incident was captured on store security cameras. Anyone with information on this suspect is asked to contact the Bay County Sheriff’s Office at 747-4700 or Crime Stoppers at 785-TIPS.
